BusyBox No Root? Can you install BusyBox without root?

A lot of times, people ask about Busybox. Like what is it, what is the purpose of it and can we install Busybox without root? Well, today I will answer all of your questions regarding Busybox. I will also tell if there is a working “Busybox no root” method out there.

What is Busybox

Busybox No Root

Before we take a look at the Installation of Busybox, let’s see what is the BusyBox. If you are someone who has some basic knowledge about rooting on Android, you must be wondering, why the BusyBox No Root is even a question. That is because BusyBox is something which is only required to work at the root level. In other words, you can’t have Busybox working without root.

One reason for this answer could be the warranty issue. Almost every Android phone maker has the no root policy. Basically, if you tamper with your phone’s root, the company won’t accept a warranty claim. Because rooting allows system level modifications, you may cause hardware damage to the phone.

Android is based on Linux but it has a lot of tools missing from the Linux kernel. Those commands are not required by Android if you are just using it normally. Busybox binary is an app that has all of these tools. You only need those missing tools when you want to perform a system-level activity. And Busybox is the app that contains all those commands.

Busybox No Root?

Now let’s address the elephant in the room. How to install Busybox without root. The simple answer to this question is that you can not. But, let me tell you how you can use Busybox and still have your phone’s warranty.

Most of the people who want to root their Android phone but end up not doing it are those who want to keep their phone’s warranty. It is well known among the smartphone community that most of the manufacturers will not give you warranty if you root your phone. What if I told you that it is even easier to unroot your phone, and no one can tell that you ever rooted your phone.

This method works on all Android phones but it will be undetectable if your phone doesn’t have a locked bootloader. For example, if your phone has a locked bootloader, you will need to unlock it before rooting. This unlocking will stay the same, even if you choose to unroot.

All you have to do is open the SuperSU app on your phone and select ‘Full unroot’ from the app settings. This will not remove the Super User instances completely, but it will remove root. Don’t forget to restart your phone after the unroot.
